PSMailers Success Stories: Part 2

Improving productivity, maintaining personal privacy

Welcome back to the PSMailers Guy blog where this time I’ll be featuring the sequel to PSMailers success stories. In the spirit of great movie sequels like Terminator 2 and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

Movie sequels can often disappoint moviegoers who find more satisfaction in the unpopped kernels than the feature film itself. But I am here to entertain you with another amazing real life PSMailers success story.

Part 2: The School Challenge

A high school needs a better processing method for the more than 2,700 grade reports they needed to print and distribute to their students each quarter. Their current method was primarily manual with large time intervals in which where visible to anyone visiting the school office. Confidentiality is a concern to the school administration.

Initially, the school considered a pressure seal system that included a top-feeding folder/sealer with an input hopper of only 100 documents and a processing speed of 5,200 documents. Due to the low input hopper capacity, the folder/sealer would have to be stopped, loaded, and restarted 27 times (about once every minute) by the operator to complete the quarterly grade reports. It was quickly determined that this system would do little to improve processing time or confidentiality because of the frequent stopping, loading, and restarting.

Enter our new hero: the PSM3000. This workhorse model gave the school exactly what they were looking for to improve the grade reporting process. That’s because the PSM300—and all PSMailers— utilize a bottom-feed system. No need to stop the unit during the process and potentially exposing confidential information. With this model that easily and quickly processes up to 3000 sheets per hour, the school is now equipped to fold, seal, and finalize grade reports for distribution in about 30 minutes. A great improvement in processing times and student confidentiality and for considerably less than a top-feeding system without sacrificing any features!

That is an Oscar-winning story if I’ve ever seen one. Spielberg might not agree, but then again he’s probably never used a PSMailers system.

Cheers to self-seal success stories and epic sequels!
