What would you do to secure a future of no taxes? Quit your job? Tempting, but probably not practical (unless you’re retired). Move abroad? Also tempting. But be wary – many countries have higher tax rates than the U.S.! Or perhaps you would be willing to get an “IRS” tattoo in exchange for a life without taxes? Believe it or not, that option appealed to nearly one in four American taxpayers surveyed.

Of course, this is merely an exercise in futility because as we are all painfully aware, thanks to Ben Franklin, nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.

I’d like to think, however, that there is one other certainty in life: the versatility and reliability of PSMailers systems.

The burden of printing, folding, and sealing tax documents during tax season places a big demand on businesses. PSMailers machines, from the low volume PSM1800 to the mighty PSM10K, can ease the pain of the tax season crunch.

Need a different fold style? That’s easy. PSMailers documents are available in six fold styles to accommodate your needs. To switch fold styles, simply adjust the fold plate and begin to seal!

Questions? No problem. PSMailers Customer Service and Tech team is available to answer all of your questions and help you resolve any issues you might be experiencing. Our team of experts know PSMailers systems inside and out and can have you up and running in no time. You can reach them at 800-464-5030 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST, or email support@psmailers.com.

Best of all, we will never ask you to get a “PSMailers” tattoo. Unless you really want one. Then who are we to stop you?

Yours in death, taxes and PSMailers,

PSMailers Guy

The season for "boos!" and W-2s

I have been told I have a face for blogging. But there are far more frightening things you could encounter in your lifetime. For example, I am reminded of something a wise person once said: “The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.”  But fear not, PSMailers Blog Guy fans (no applause, please) – I am most decidedly NOT from the government, but I AM here to help.

Since we’re on the subject of the government, I am compelled to share my knowledge and wisdom about a timely topic: the all-important W-2 tax form used by taxpayers to file federal and state tax returns each year.  According to turbotax.intuit.com, the IRS requires employers to report wage and salary information for employees on Form W-2.This form also reports the amount of federal, state and other taxes withheld from an employee’s paycheck. The IRS requires employers to send employees a W-2 no later than January 31 following the close of the tax year, which is usually December 31.

Although we’ve just entered the hallowed season, that deadline is eerily close. Regardless of the PSM model you operate, the number of forms you process, or the folding style you choose, PSMailers make a necessary job essentially easier. Printed, folded, sealed and mailed to employees in no time. Contact your sales rep at 800.464.5030 or http://www.psmailers.com/contact-us/sales-form/ to find the right machine to match your form and your needs.

A few things to remember as you prepare for the season, first understand your fold. Selecting a style and ordering early will ensure plenty of time to get set up right http://www.psmailers.com/documents/styles/ Next match the fold to the machine, all models are designed to run various standard fold forms although some folds may not be compatible with the PSM1800 or 6500. Last but not least is to test run. You never know if you might need to make adjustments.

That, my friends, leaves you nothing to fear but a band of sugar-crazed trick-or-treaters at your front door after you just handed out the last candy bar. (And if you see someone in a PSMailers Guy mask, run…it’s NOT me.)
